Acoustics of bowling alley and old tennis hall Warmond
At Dekker Warmond Sports & Party in Warmond, we have improved the acoustics! A fantastically beautiful bowling alley in a former tennis hall where the reverberation was enormous when we first arrived. In this project, the installation was a major challenge. This was partly due to the height and fragility of the bowling alley.
Therefore, we first covered the lane with stucco, and on top of that thick sheet metal to protect the lane as much as possible. Our mechanics, in cooperation with the client, did a fantastic job. At great heights, with the necessary challenges, from building scaffolding and taking into account the lighting to neatly installing the EASYceiling Plus acoustic ceiling elements.
The result
We reduced the average reverberation time in the bowling hall from 2.47 to 1.7 seconds, a great result for the size of this space!
