Convoluted foam
Our range includes various profiled foams, including convoluted foam and pyramid foam. EASYfoam convoluted foam is flame retardant according to FMVSS 302 and UL-94 class HF1 and has a high density. EASYfoam convoluted foam is therefore not comparable with convoluted foam from the construction trade, where often low density foams are used.
What is nubbed foam?
An acoustic material that reduces reverberation in a room. Our acoustic foam has a high density and a self-adhesive back. This ensures that sound waves are well absorbed and that it provides better acoustics in the room.
Acoustics
Due to its excellent acoustic properties, it can be used to solve sound problems in various environments. Think of technical rooms, sound studios and server rooms.
The nubbed structure functions as an ideal sound-absorbing solution. The nubs of the foam help to break, spread and absorb sound waves. This reduces the reverberation time in a room. This ensures improved acoustics, less reverberation and an improved overall sound experience.
Sound absorption
The sound-absorbing capacity of nubbed foam is high. Sound waves that hit the nubs are partly absorbed and partly scattered by the many cavities and openings between the nubs. The density of the foam affects the degree of sound absorption.
The quality of the foam affects its effect. Good quality nubbed foam is therefore essential to achieve the desired result.
Hard materials such as steel and glass can cause annoying reverberation, but this can be remedied with sound-absorbing material. Improving the acoustics may be necessary in various spaces to prevent negative experiences with poor acoustics. In addition to acoustic foam, this can also be done with, for example, acoustic paintings or sound-absorbing panels.
Self-adhesive nubbed foam
Self-adhesive nubbed foam offers increased convenience and more versatility. This makes additional glue or other mounting materials unnecessary. Self-adhesive nubbed foam is easy to apply to various surfaces. For example, they can be placed directly on walls.
This improves the acoustics in a room, but keep in mind that nubbed foam is not always the best solution to improve the acoustics.
